Wir beginnen unseren Blog mit einer kleinen Einführung in unser Anliegen und einer kurzen Vorstellung von uns.

Global Economic Symposium

Das Global Economic Symposium ist eine englischsprachige Wirtschaftskonferenz, die vom Institut für Weltwirtschaft organisiert wird. Auf diesem dreitägigem Treffen werden internationale wirtschaftliche Probleme analysiert und diskutiert. Kreative Visionen werden ausgetauscht und innovative Strategien entwickelt, um Lösungen zu erarbeiten, die zum globalen Allgemeinwohl beitragen . Es findet jährlich im Wechsel zwischen Kiel und einem auswärtigen Ort (letztes Jahr zum Beispiel Kuala Lumpur) statt. Die gefundenen Lösungen werden in einem Heft gesammelt und veröffentlicht. Viele davon werden umgesetzt und haben somit direkten Einfluss auf unsere Wirtschaft und so auch auf unsere Gesellschaft.

Insgesamt 12 Schülergruppen verschiedener Schulen aus Schleswig-Holstein dürfen an einem Nebenprojekt des GES teilnehmen, dem Young Economic Summit. Jedes Team erhält ein Problem, für das sie eine Lösung ausarbeiten und es dort in einem 20 minütigen Vortrag vorstellen. Diese Veranstaltung wird in das Symposium integriert, so entsteht ein Dialog zwischen Schülern und Experten.

Wir, 10 Schüler von der Hermann-Tast-Schule Husum mit 2 Lehrern als Unterstützung, starten momentan in dieses Projekt und erarbeiten bis zum Symposium im Oktober eine Lösung zu unserem Thema „Equality and growth“, in diesem Zusammenhang entwickeln wir ein Konzept für ein ein neues europäisches Sozialmodell. 

Wen nun das Interesse gepackt hat und unsere Arbeit verfolgen möchte, kann das auf diesem Blog tun! In den nächsten Wochen folgen genau hier mehr Informationen und Artikel zu unserem Projekt.

We're starting this blog with a little introduction of ourselves and our work so you get an idea of what this blog is about.

The Global Economic Symposium is an English-speaking symposium organized by the institute of world economy. It takes place in alteration between Germany, and a major international center. Global economic problems are discussed and analyzed trying to share creative visions and formulate innovative strategies to solve these problems in a way that contributes to the global public interest. The Solutions get published and implemented having influence on our economy and society.

12 different schools in Schleswig-Holstein (northern Germany) are able to take part in a side-project of the GES called the Young Economic Summit. Every school chooses a global problem (out of 17 presented) and develop a concept to solve it. They present it during the real Symposium to create a dialogue between students and experts so both get a different view on this problem.

We’re a group of 10 students from year 12 of the Hermann Tast School in Husum and take part in the YES project along with the support of two teachers. Our topic is: „Equality and Growth in Europe: From Antagonism to Symbiosis“. 

We are writing this blog to keep the world updated about our project and we’re excited to start working, more information and posts coming soon!
